According to InformationWeek, 68% of businesses have adopted one or more Enterprise 2.0 apps, designed to enhance collaboration, with 13% and 19% reporting they are either rolling out one or more or are testing one or more, respectively.

InformaitonWeek asked IT professionals to identify the most important features in an Enterprise 2.0 app, and found that the following:

• Ability to address business needs — 4.5 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being very important.
• Security of data and quality of authentication — 4.5
• Integration with existing internal enterprise software — 4.4
• Intuitive user interface — 4.4
• Completeness of feature set — 4.3

Those rankings sit nicely with Avistar — because those are some of the same aspects of our Avistar C3™ videoconferencing solutions that our customers tell us are important to them.

There are other reasons they like Avistar C3™, including some videoconferencing-specific features, like:

• Bandwidth management
• Quality of experience (QoE) and reliability
• Scalability
• Cost-effectiveness
