The Avistar Board of Directors has substantial experience in the creation of new companies and management of large enterprises. The Avistar Board of Directors includes:

Dr. Gerald J. Burnett, Chairman
Burnett, one of the company's founders, has been Chairman of Avistar since March 2000. He has been CEO of Avistar and a director of Collaboration Properties, Inc., since 1998. Previously, he was a director of Avistar and has held directorships at both Vicor, Inc., and Western Data Systems. Burnett was also President of Teknekron, a group of technology companies, and is one of the founders of Vicor, Inc. In addition to possessing a B.S. and an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in electrical engineering and computer science, Burnett also holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University in computer science and communications. He is a member of MIT's Corporation (Board of Trustees) and a founding member of the McGovern Institute Leadership Board at MIT.

William L. Campbell, Director
Campbell is one of our founders and the Director of Strategic Development. From July 2005 until September 2007 he served as the Chief Operating Officer, and prior to that he was the Executive Vice President from March 2000 until 2005. He has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Collaboration Properties, Inc. since 1998. He has been Chairman of Vicor, Inc., since 1994 and a director since 1989. Campbell holds a B.S. in general engineering from the U.S. Military Academy and an M.S. in management from the Sloan School of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Craig F. Heimark, Director
Heimark has been the Managing Partner of the Hawthorne Group, a strategic advisory firm focused on equity consulting to high growth IT and financial companies, since 1998. During 2000 and 2001, Heimark provided consulting services to the company. From 1990 to 1997, he served in various capacities at Swiss Bank Corporation Warburg, the predecessor company to UBS Warburg. Heimark holds a B.A. degree in economics and a B.S. in biology from Brown University.

R. Stephen Heinrichs, Director
Heinrichs is a founder of Avistar and has previously held positions at Avistar as its Vice Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. Heinrichs has also been a director of Collaboration Properties, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Avistar. From 1976 through 1989 he was Chief Financial Officer of Teknekron and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of several Teknekron companies. Heinrichs is also one of the founders and and a former director of Vicor, Inc. Heinrichs has also been chairman of Western Data Systems of Nevada, Inc. Heinrichs holds a B.S. from California State University, Fresno, in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Dr. Robert M. Metcalfe, Director
Metcalfe has been a partner of Polaris Venture Partners since January 2001. Metcalfe is also a publisher of technology, consumer and general how-to books. Since 1992 he has been a member of the board of directors for International Data Group ("IDG"). From 1992 to 1993, Metcalfe wrote articles for magazines such as Computerworld, Communications Week, Digital Media and Network Computing. From 1991 to 1992, Metcalfe was a visiting fellow at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge . From 1979 to 1990, Metcalfe was a founder of 3Com Corporation, a provider of networking products and solutions, and served in various capacities including Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board. Metcalfe also currently sits on the Board of Trustees of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Metcalfe holds Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. degree in applied mathematics from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard University. Metcalfe is a recipient of the IEEE Medal of Honor, is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and was awarded the National Medal of Technology by President George W. Bush in March 2005.

Simon Moss, Director
Moss joined Avistar as President in July 2007 and became CEO in January 2008. Prior to Avistar, he was CEO of Mantas, Inc., where he turned around the business and led it through a successful acquisition by Oracle/I-flex for $127 million - at the time the largest cash deal in Indian software market history. Before this, Moss was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, Director of Financial Markets at IBM and co-founder of IBM's Risk Management Practice in London.

James W. Zeigon, Director
Zeigon has in-depth knowledge of and experience working within the financial services industry. Zeigon 's background and expertise include his current role as a financial services consultant, past tenure at Deutsche Bank as Managing Director and CEO of Global Institutional Services, Vice Chairman of the Global Transaction Bank, co-President of Bankers Trust Corporation, and Senior Managing Director for Chase Global Services of The Chase Manhattan Corporation. Zeigon holds a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University and an M.B.A. from Adelphi University.
